Skip the Drama ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Skip the Drama is designed to work with minimal data collection.
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising.
When you use AI-powered features (Decode, Prep, Cast analysis), the text you type is transmitted to our server and then to OpenAI to generate a response. By using these features, you explicitly consent to this data transfer.
Important facts about this transfer:
If you do not consent to your text being processed by OpenAI, do not use the Decode, Prep, or Cast features. All other app features (modules, scenarios, books) work entirely on-device.
Each third-party service is contractually required to handle data with protections consistent with this policy.
Most app data (progress, quiz results, cast entries) is stored locally on your device and is deleted when you uninstall the app. We do not retain AI query content on our servers after delivering a response.
To request deletion of any data we may hold about you, email hello@skipthedrama.app. We will respond within 30 days.
Skip the Drama is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us immediately at hello@skipthedrama.app.
Depending on your location (including GDPR in the EU/UK and CCPA in California), you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete personal data we hold. Because most data lives locally on your device, your primary control is through device settings and uninstalling the app. For any formal data request, email hello@skipthedrama.app.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
